1. Employment Status
You are employed as a part-time, hourly employee of Rove Sauna LLC. Employment is at-will, meaning either you or the company may end the employment relationship at any time, for any lawful reason, with or without notice.
2. Pay & Payroll
Hourly Rate: $20/hour
Pay is processed weekly via Gusto.
Time must be tracked through Connecteam; failure to clock in/out may delay payment.
Overtime must be pre-approved and will be paid according to Maine and federal law.
Weekend shifts (if working a double) include an unpaid lunch break from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
3. Scheduling & Shifts
Shifts are generally 4 hours long, and schedules are uploaded via Connecteam.
You may request time off or swap shifts with coworkers using Connecteam.
All changes must be approved by management at least 12 hours in advance.
Tardiness or no-shows may result in disciplinary action.
4. Clocking In & Out
All employees must clock in and out using Connecteam at the start and end of each shift.
Time entries must be accurate and reflect actual working hours.
Clocking in early or late without approval is prohibited.
5. Job Responsibilities
Your role may include, but is not limited to:
Starting and tending the sauna stove
Completing pre-shift clean
Greeting guests and explaining session flow
Managing in-person sales via Square Tap to Pay using the company iPhone
Maintaining cleanliness and safety of the mobile sauna
Restocking retail items (water, towels, electrolytes)
Completing post-shift tidy
Reporting any safety concerns or incidents using the Connecteam incident form
6. Conduct & Customer Experience
All guests must be treated with respect, inclusivity, and professionalism.
All scheduled sauna sessions include music, unless otherwise indicated. Music may be played from the company iPhone or personal phones as long as there are no ads played during play.
Scented oils are standard unless a guest opts out — staff must confirm before use.
During the weekend 1–2 PM lunch break, all employees may use the sauna for free. Each employee may bring one guest with them to this free weekend lunch session.
7. Dress Code
You are required to wear the following while on shift:
Company-issued Rove Sauna beanie or cap
Magnetic name tag
Clothing must be clean, modest, and appropriate for outdoor/sauna work (layers recommended depending on weather)
8. Health & Safety
Be aware of fire safety procedures, stove handling, and proper ventilation.
Maintain a hydrated, alert state while working in or near the sauna.
Use the incident report form on Connecteam to document injuries, guest concerns, or equipment issues immediately.
9. Breaks
Weekend staff will have a 1-hour unpaid lunch from 1 PM to 2 PM if working a double shift.
No additional paid breaks are provided during 4-hour shifts.
10. In-Person Sales
Retail sales (e.g., water, towels, electrolytes) are handled using the Rove iPhone and Square Tap to Pay.
All sales must be recorded accurately.
Personal cash for purchases is strictly prohibited.
11. Confidentiality
You may have access to sensitive information (customer preferences, pricing, internal policies). Sharing this information externally is grounds for termination.
12. Disciplinary Action
Violations of these terms may result in:
Verbal warning
Written warning
Suspension or termination
Grounds include repeated lateness, failure to follow safety protocols, inappropriate conduct, or failure to fulfill job duties.
