When you arrive to a ROVE Sauna session for your 1 hour long session you will be greeted by a trained sauna guide who has been stoking the fire in the sauna room to a balmy 160-190F.

Once you and the other five guests are comfortably seated in the ROVE Sauna, your guide will explain sauna safety, rules, tips, and expectations.

Your sauna guide may have gentle music playing to really set the mood.

Arrive

Your sauna guide will then add water with optional essential oils to the sauna rocks, creating a lovely steam experience.

They will stay nearby as you take in the stunning views, communal conversations, introspective thoughts, and lovely heat.

After the first 15 minute round your guide will let the group know it is time to enjoy the first break.

During your 5 minute break, relax in the beautiful serenity of our scenic location.

Enjoy

Each hour long session will have three guided rounds of steam, relaxation, and breaks. This allows you to relax into the experience instead of worrying about timing.

Please make sure to hydrate and listen to your body, taking extra long breaks if you need them. You can also use the lower benches to reduce the intensity of the heat.

We want to make sure that your sauna experience with ROVE is the best it can possibly be. Look out for our expanding fleet in beautiful locations!

ROVE cares about your health, our community, and the environment.

Our mission is to provide relaxing sauna sessions that improve participants’ wellbeing, connection to others, and opportunities to bask in Maine’s beautiful landscapes.

ROVE Sauna started in 2024. Our founder, Aschel, was raised in Maine, and had been traveling for years through New Zealand, England, Germany, and Ecuador. In each of these places, she found places to sweat - and discovered the depth of connection, kindness to self, and communion with the environment that these community spaces nurtured.

Upon her return to Maine, Aschel missed having a go-to community sauna and decided to synthesize her favorite experiences into a version of her own.

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, working with clients with trauma and eating disorders, Aschel appreciates the year-round emotional benefits of community sauna sessions. Meanwhile Aschel's bachelor degree in design with a focus on sustainability results in her meticulous design of an eco-friendly sauna experience.
