It's a traditional dry-heat sauna warmed by a real wood stove rather than electricity. The heat is deep and even, the air is dry, and we control the intensity by ladling water onto the stones for a burst of steam (löyly). Many people find it gentler and more enveloping than an electric sauna.

Book online to ensure a spot. Walk-ups are welcome when space allows but sessions tend to fill on evenings and weekends, so reserving ahead is the safest bet.

60 minutes. That's enough time for three 15 minute heat rounds with 5 minute cool-downs in between. First-timers usually find this is plenty; you can always step out and back in at your own pace.
-
We offer both! All our sessions start as shared/communal with up to 8 people at a time. To book a private session you would just book all eight spots in a session. A private session is great for a special date, a group of friends, co-workers or family event; shared sessions are a relaxed, quiet way to meet other regulars.

Up to 8 at a time, very comfortably with room to relax.

Typically temperatures range between 160–190°F. Earlier sessions in the day tend to be milder while later sessions bring the heat, but you're always in control — sit lower for milder heat, higher for more intense, and step out whenever you like. There's no prize for toughing it out.

Come wearing a swimsuit, and bring a towel or two, (you must sit on something in the sauna) and a water bottle. We have towels, water and electrolytes available for purchase onsite should you need. Wear something you're comfortable sweating in; most people sauna in swimwear. Leave jewelry and your phone outside — heat and screens don't mix.

Not a plunge — stay tuned, but we do have a cold-water shower bucket that we might just like even more than a cold plunge. A whole big fresh bucket of cold water with no chlorine all to yourself is very nice! The hot–cold contrast is a big part of the experience and most people love it once they try it.

We operate rain or shine — bad weather can make a hot sauna even better. In the case of unsafe conditions, we'll reach out to reschedule.

Cancellations made more than 24 hours in advance are eligible for a full refund. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled session, as well as no-shows, are non-refundable. Guests may request to reschedule their session to another time within the same upcoming week by contacting Rove Sauna via email in the 24 hours prior to their originally booked session. While we will make every effort to accommodate rescheduling requests, changes are not guaranteed and are subject to availability.

There's no rule — even occasional sessions feel great. The Finnish research that links sauna to the strongest health associations is based on regular use (2–3+ times a week), so if wellbeing is your goal, a consistent rhythm matters more than any single visit.

Arrive a few minutes early, shower or rinse beforehand if you can, and keep your voice low — many people are there to unwind. Hydrate before and after, listen to your body, and step out to cool down whenever you need to. No experience required.

Sauna is safe for most healthy adults, but heat is a real physical stressor. If you're pregnant, have heart disease, low or high blood pressure, or any chronic condition — or if you've been drinking alcohol — please check with your doctor first and don't sauna alone. When in doubt, skip it and ask us.
